World class Manchester United target finally makes transfer decision

The report Manchester United target seems to have finally made a decision about his future in the summer and set his mind on his destination.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is undertaking one of the most difficult jobs in football right now. The expectations at Manchester United are gargantuan. Compare those lofty expectations to the feeble squad the Norwegian has at his disposal and the situation becomes extremely bleak.
The Red Devils have not been an elite side for many years. They have fallen down the wayside and have capitulated to an unprecedented decline. Despite this United are determined to get back to the top. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is adamant he is the man to help his former club to glory.
And it’s not like the Norwegian has been without success. Solskjaer has done the best he could with a squad that is still not quite the finished article. In addition, the Norwegian has continued the United tradition of bringing youth players through from Carrington. That has seen the development of the likes of Brandon Williams and Mason Greenwood.

The recent signing of Bruno Fernandes definitely seemed like a major turning point in the club’s fortunes. The Portuguese midfielder arrives as one of the most exciting attacking midfielders in Europe and having rejected Barcelona in favour of the Red Devils.
That will be a major boost of confidence for Solskjaer.
And it seems the Red Devils are battling Barcelona for their next transfer target in the summer too.
It has been no secret that Solskjaer wants to add attacking reinforcements to the team.
In Lautaro Martinez of Inter, the Norwegian may have just found what he is looking for. The Inter Milan forward looks the real deal and has been highly prolific this season.
However it seems that unlike with Bruno Fernandes, this time the transfer race may have been won by Barcelona.
According to ESPN via the Daily Mail, Lautaro Martinez would prefer a move to the Catalans over Manchester.
That means Solskjaer will now have to look elsewhere.
Thankfully he still has four months until the summer transfer window commences.
