Manchester United have been given a significant and major injury boost and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be extremely happy to hear about it.

To be frankly honest Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has not had much fortune as Manchester United boss thus far. There were glimpses of promise during the early part of his reign but things have started to topple under him over time.

Luck is an extremely tenuous word. It’s esoteric in the game of football. Whether one wants to admit it or not, to succeed in the sport one does need to possess at least a little amount of luck.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been anything but lucky during his time at Old Trafford.

More from Red Devil Armada

The Norwegian manager has had a barren run with the Red Devils this season running into some horrendous results and slipping further and further away from the coveted top four spot in the Premier League.

Much of this can be attributed to the club’s extremely unfortunate spell with injuries. Key players have faced extended periods on the sidelines and often Solskjaer has been forced to play inexperienced youngsters in the first team to make up numbers.

The Red Devils have missed the likes of Paul Pogba, Scott McTominay and are expected to miss Marcus Rashford for a long period of the season.

It seems however that at least there appears to be some good news on the horizon for Solskjaer.

The Norwegian boss revealed to MUTV via Goal that the club ‘will take’ Scott McTominay for their winter training camp to Spain beginning this week and the Scott will be involved in training sessions.

That means McTominay has been making good progress from his injury and could be back on the field soon.

McTominay was undoubtedly one of the best United players before he was sidelined and his return will be a huge boost for Solskjaer, especially since the Red Devils’ midfield has struggled without the influence of the 23 year old.
