Manchester United could make incredible world class signing

Manchester United have been linked with making an incredibly sensational signing in the upcoming summer transfer window according to latest reports.
A new signing can have a transformative impact on a team. Manchester United more than any club in the world will be aware of this. The club have landed plenty of world class signings in the past who have helped them to win a hoard of trophies. From the likes of Robin Van Persie to Wayne Rooney and Cristiano Ronaldo, the list is endless.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is perhaps yet to have made that impact as the Red Devils’ boss. The signings Solskjaer has made have had relative success so far but have struggled to overturn the club’s fortunes.
It has put the former United legend’s job under great scrutiny.

Whilst the latest signing of Bruno Fernandes could make a huge impact, it is clear the Norwegian needs more reinforcements.
If Solskjaer is to remain in his job when the summer comes rolling around, he will have to make sure he brings in even more major signings.
Solskjaer needs players of world class calibre. Reinforcements who can change games on their own singlehandedly. Especially if rumours about Paul Pogba‘s inevitable departure from the club are true.
Of course there are not many names who fulfil that criteria, however the Red Devils have been linked with a potentially remarkable signing in the summer.
According to Gazetta Dello Sport via the Sports Bible, Manchester United are among four other clubs who could sign Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi in the summer.
The report claims that Lionel Messi has become increasingly discontent with how Barcelona is being run and he could be considering his future with the Catalans.
If that is indeed the case and if United are truly interested in undoubtedly one of the best players in the world, Old Trafford might just be the perfect destination for Lionel Messi.
Just like Barcelona, United are undergoing a metamorphosis and it would be an interesting challenge for Messi to delve into and prove himself as a truly world class talent once and for all.
