Manchester United to sign the exciting ‘next Roy Keane’
By Bence Bocsak
Manchester United could be on the brink of making an exciting acquisition to their ranks, signing a player dubbed the next Roy Keane.
For many young Manchester United fans the name of Roy Keane might not elicit a huge reaction. The former Red Devils captain was however a truly great player for the club. For years Roy Keane dictated and dominated the United midfield. He made everything tick and was key in helping Sir Alex Ferguson establish a United hegemony in England.
Keane was a tough tackler. His style was aggressive and his opponents feared him. He made players quake in their boots and the opposition would dread facing him. His attitude was determined. He would put blood, sweat and tears on the pitch to help the Red Devils’ cause.
Roy Keane was perhaps the first truly great holding midfielder and he will forever be remembered as a huge legend for the club.

Someone you could rely on and always trust.
Right now there is a lack of that sort of personality in the current Manchester United squad. When one looks around in the dressing room, none of the players Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has at his disposal possess that gritty and tough attitude.
Yet it is such a crucial element of a team.
And it seems the Red Devils could soon be making a move to fill that void in the squad.
According to the Daily Mail via the Bleacher Report Manchester United sent scouts to watch 20 year old holding midfielder Declan Rice in action for West Ham last month. This indicates that the Red Devils are clearly considering the West Ham midfielder as potential future purchase.
And that could excite the Red Devils faithful.
Declan Rice has the same tenacity and fighting spirit on the pitch as Roy Keane once possessed. Just like Keane Rice can bully opponents and his hard tackling has been a key feature of his game. Rice is considered to be one of the most exiting prospects in the Premier League and he would be a major coup for United.
At just 20 years of age he has plenty of time to develop too.
What do you think would Declan Rice be a good signing for Manchester United?
