Manchester United have finally found Cristiano Ronaldo’s replacement

It seems Manchester United have finally found their replacement for the club’s former legend Cristiano Ronaldo and he could emulate the current Juventus star.

The sight of Cristiano Ronaldo in a Manchester United shirt was an alluring spectacle for many years at Old Trafford. His spectacular goals and silky skills seduced the Red Devils crowd and remnants of his talent still linger in the now dilapidated stands.

Like an old lover yearns for their former partner, Manchester United fans still dream of Cristiano Ronaldo returning to the Red Devils one day. It is a dream that is unlikely to turn into a reality. It would be a hefty fee for the Red Devils to pay to bring Ronaldo back and at 34 years of age the move would not be worth it.

The best hope United have to rekindle that passion from the stands is to be find someone in the same ilk as their former hero.

The Red Devils have purchased a player with the same pedigree and from the same club as they bought Cristiano Ronaldo from.

In Bruno Fernandes they have a Portuguese international who will be hoping to emulate the success of his compatriot not simply just because he made the same move from Sporting to Manchester. Bruno Fernandes will be hoping he has the same success as Ronaldo at Old Trafford too.

And there is no reason why he cannot. Bruno Fernandes’ statistic during his two and a half year spell at Sporting are wholly impressive. Far better than Cristiano Ronaldo’s time in Portugal. Albeit Ronaldo was far younger.

Nonetheless the promise is there. Bruno Fernandes arrives with an immense amount of hope.

He has the ability to turn the club’s fortunes around. More crucially just like Cristiano Ronaldo, Bruno Fernandes is capable of producing something out of nothing. He can score spectacular long range goals and bamboozle defenders.
