Manchester United face Burnley at Old Trafford on Wednesday night hoping to get a win. Here’s how the Red Devils are expected to line-up.

Manchester United have not had the most spectacular starts to 2020. The Red Devils have struggled to get a consistent set of results and have suffered some disappointing defeats against rival sides in Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer seems to slowly losing his grip on his position as head coach and the January transfer window has not yielded the ailments the Norwegian would have wanted either with the Red Devils unable to bring new players to Old Trafford.

When Manchester United face Burnley on Wednesday night on the back of a derby defeat, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be desperate to get that well needed win. The Red Devils faithful will expect it.

But with the likes of Marcus Rashford, Paul Pogba and Scott McTominay all sidelined United are not in the best position and missing so many key players could have a detrimental impact on the team.

It means other fringe players will have to step-up and make their mark in the first team. Here is how Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are expected to line up.

Goalkeeper: David De Gea

Right Back: Aaron Wan-Bissaka

Centre Back: Harry Maguire

Centre Back: Victor Lindelof

Left Back: Luke Shaw

Holding Midfielder: Nemanja Matic

Central Midfielder: Juan Mata

Central Midfielder: Jesse Lingard

Right Winger: Daniel James

Forward: Anthony Martial

Left Winger: Mason Greenwood

The United line-up will see the return of Luke Shaw with Solskjaer expected to rest Brandon Williams after an extended period in the starting eleven. Nemanja Matic will keep his place as the holding midfielder. The Serbian was relatively impressive in that role against Liverpool and Solskjaer will hope it will be more of the same this time around.

Mason Greenwood meanwhile is expected to start with the injury of Marcus Rashford.
