Manchester United to sign exciting former academy player

It seems Manchester United could be on the brink of recruiting a former player and Solskjaer could bring him back to Old Trafford.

The theatre of dreams, Old Trafford, is a stadium filled with fond memories for any Manchester United fan. It is a bastion and a symbol of the club’s dominant period under Sir Alex Ferguson. It is the home of so many Premier League title victories and many memorable games that will live in the memory of the club’s lore for eternity.

Many ex players dream of returning to the club and gracing the turf of Old Trafford one final time. To hear the roar and the perpetual chanting echoing around the stands. It is enchanting.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will know all about returning to the club. The Norwegian boss left United during his short managerial career thus far and returned to the theatre of dreams as manager only a little over a year ago.

His task has been to reignite the former spark of the Red Devils set-up and to get Manchester United back to where they belong.

It has not been an easy journey and the difficult part still remains with the club currently in a 30 point deficit to the league leaders, Liverpool, and 5 points away from the long coveted Champions League spots.

Yet it seems that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s efforts may be boosted by another returnee.

Dwight McNeil was at the Red Devils’ academy until 2014 before making the switch to Burnley. So far that move has paid dividends with the young winger slowly establishing himself as one of the best up and coming players in the Premier League.

And according to the Daily Mail, Dwight McNeil is a ‘Manchester United target’ and his manager Sean Dyche has admitted that he will ‘go beyond’ Burnley in his career hinting that McNeil could soon be on the way out of Turf Moor.

Manchester United lack depth on the wings and Dwight McNeil who knows the club inside and out could be a great addition. He has the creative spark and flair which the United midfield have often lacked this season.
