Manchester United: Solskjaer to sign Barcelona and Real Madrid target
By Bence Bocsak
According to reports the Manchester United boss is edging closer to a potentially top class signing who is targeted by both Barcelona and Real Madrid.
It is no secret that the current managerial position at Manchester United is fraught with failure. Some of the best managers in the world in multiple Champions League and Premier League winner Jose Mourinho and Luis Van Gaal who won the Champions League, Bundesliga and La Liga, have both failed in rekindling the flame at Old Trafford.
It is a job which one is doomed to fail. Emulating the feats of the club’s legendary manager in Sir Alex Ferguson is a hopeless endeavour and Ferguson’s dominance at United is a testament to his greatness.
Ferguson is a once in a life time manager.
It is under these circumstances that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is fighting to return the Red Devils to the top. By all means he has not done worse or better than his predecessors which is a testament to the job the Norwegian has done.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is brining back the essence of the club. Yet his current team is decrepit and he has not had enough time to bring in the players he needs to mould the squad into shape.
The signing of Bruno Fernandes seems imminent but it seems the Portuguese is not the only player being targeted by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
According to Fox Sports Asia via Everything Barca, the Red Devils are set to make a move for Real Madrid and Barcelona target Fabian Ruiz.
The 23 year old Spanish international has excelled so far for Napoli in the Serie A during the last two seasons, hitting an impressive tally of goals and assists.
His form has earned him six caps for Spain’s national team and a single international goal so far.
The United midfield lack quality at the moment and Fabian Ruiz could be an astute addition alongside Bruno Fernandes. The pair could add the creative flair which could feed Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Mason Greenwood an endless amount of goalscoring opportunities.
What do you think would Fabian Ruiz be a good signing for Manchester United?
