Manchester United are rumoured to be preparing a bid for yet another exciting midfielder and hope to bring him to Old Trafford imminently.

Old Trafford languishes in its former glory. Manchester United are a fallen giant slowly crippling to an unprecedented decline. To most, the current situation of the Red Devils seems bleak and hopeless. With the game against arch rivals, Liverpool, the gap between the two sides in the Premier League is a mighty 27 points.

United will not come close to catching up. Yet Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has set out a mission for the future. An ambitious long term plan to overturn the Red Devils’ fortunes and emulate his former manager Sir Alex Ferguson.

One of the key areas which Ole Gunnar Solskjaer desperately needs to fix in his ambition to get Manchester United back to where they belong is the club’s midfield. So far this season the midfield has looked languid, devoid of shape and have been run rugged by some of the ‘smaller’ Premier League sides.

Whilst the addition of Bruno Fernandes who is closing to completing his transfer to United will go some way to deliver the long needed creative spark, it is not the only midfield addition which Solskjaer is planning to make according to reports.

The Daily Record have claimed that Manchester United have made a hefty £25 million bid for Birmingham City’s 16 year old midfielder, Jude Bellingham.

Jude Bellingham only turned 16 in June of 2019 but he has made a rapid rise and has established himself as a regular member of the Championship side’s first team squad. All together Jude Bellingham has played 23 games this season, scored 3 goals and gave out 1 assist in the league.

His stats are impressive but his performances are even more eye catching. Jude Bellingham looks mature beyond his years playing against players almost twice his age. He is composed on the ball, energetic on the field with great pace and his distribution is exemplary as well as his ability to dribble past players and make mazy runs.

He could be an exciting addition at Old Trafford, yet £25 million seems rather steep for a player who is such a tender age and one will hope the pressure and the hype does not get to Jude Bellingham’s head.
