Manchester United will offer Jesse Lingard to sign Premier League star

The Manchester United boss is expected to offload Jesse Lingard to a fellow rival in a bid to get his coveted transfer target to Old Trafford.
When one is asked to describe the current Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer ruthlessness is perhaps not the first word which would come to mind. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has a reputation for ‘being nice’ at least in front of the cameras. His disposition hardly comes off as tough.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is an approachable character who has been a true professional in the game on and off the pitch. The Norwegian is highly regarded at Old Trafford. He endeared himself to the Red Devils’ faithful as an excellent player before having a go at the managerial position.
Yet his task to take the Red Devils back to the top has not been the smoothest. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is still early on in his managerial career and he has yet to hone his craft and learn all the skills to become a top manager.
One trait all the best managers in the world have is the ability to be ruthless. The likes of Sir Alex Ferguson and Jose Mourinho were always clear and direct on the player they wanted at their club and the players they did not.
With Manchester United’s current squad festering with deadwood, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer must develop this trait too if he is to succeed.
And if reports are to be believed his first ruthless act could be on the horizon.
According to the Daily Mirror Manchester United are considering offloading Jesse Lingard in exchange for James Maddison.
Jesse Lingard has been one of the underperforming figures at Manchester United and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer seems to have finally given up on the United academy product. By offloading him to Leicester City, the Norwegian will be cutting out one of the club’s biggest deadwood players and proving his ruthlessness. It will be a statement to his players that if they do not perform they will be given the same treatment
Lingard who is being linked with moves abroad, may prefer to stay in England so the transfer could be ideal for both parties. Meanwhile in James Maddison United will be getting a player they have coveted for months.
What do you think would this be a good deal for Manchester United?
