Manchester United: Three reasons why Bruno Fernandes will be a success

3. He can score goals from midfield
With the absence of Paul Pogba, Manchester United have really lacked a genuine attacking threat from the middle of the park. The team is packed with energetic and robust midfielders but the likes of Scott McTominay and Fred contribute more defensively rather than in attack and haven’t really pitched in with goals this season.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side is in desperate need of a midfielder who can provide some firepower from midfield. It is a necessity for all top sides. Look at the likes of Chelsea who have Mason Mount, Manchester City has Kevin De Bruyne and David Silva, meanwhile at Liverpool the likes of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Georginio Wijnaldum always chip in with goals from time to time and provide a threat to the opposition’s defence.
United are evidently lacking in that area and the addition of Bruno Fernandes could solve that problem for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Bruno Fernandes has hit 15 goals already this season and he scored and incredible 32 goals in all competitions last season. He has a wonderful knack for scoring goals and he is capable of finding the right areas to pounce inside the oppositions’ box. In addition Bruno Fernandes is also excellent from long range and has hit some stunners for Sporting in the past. He is also a good free-kick tacker which United could take advantage of.
If Bruno Fernandes can find his goalscoring feet at Old Trafford he could become one of the most important player for the Red Devils and the man to lead them back to the Champions League during the second half of the season.
