Manchester United: Huge blow as new team enters the race for Pogba
By Bence Bocsak
It seems that according to reports another team has entered the race to sign Paul Pogba and could test Manchester United as soon as January.
There has been a huge question lingering on the minds of the Manchester United faithful since the beginning of last summer. The question is regarding the club’s star player in Paul Pogba and whether or not he will stay at Old Trafford.
The World Cup winning French midfielder has been quite a character since his return to the Red Devils. His antics on and off the pitch have been memorable and have elicited some criticism by pundits.
His pace, his drive, and his passing range has been crucial to the way Manchester United play. Often it has sparked the Red Devils’ midfield to life. Without him the team looks spineless and have been run rugged a few times already this season.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer therefore cannot afford to lose his star man. He needs Paul Pogba just like a man needs oxygen to breathe.
Yet Paul Pogba does not seem to have the same notion about Manchester United. The French midfield is purported to be disillusioned by the club and United only just managed to keep him by a thin hanging needle thread in the summer.
This time around in January Paul Pogba is on the sidelines. However even that has not dissuaded potential suitors to make a bid for his services and to try to lure him away from Old Trafford.
Real Madrid and Juventus have been well documented as the two leading teams desperately trying to sign the French midfielder but it seems another team has entered the race.
According to La Repubblica via Sempre Inter Italian giants Inter Milan are also interested in singing Paul Pogba.
Inter Milan have developed a habit of buying Manchester United players with Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez joining in the summer and Ashley Young is also rumoured to be signing for the club when his contract expires at Old Trafford.
Therefore a move would not be surprising and it will come as a blow to the Red Devils as they now have to deter yet another team away from their star man.
What do you think will Manchester United be able to keep Paul Pogba at the club?
