Manchester United: One of Solskjaer’s key men could leave

The Manchester United boss has been having a tough time keeping the club’s best players and he could be losing his grip on yet another star.

The Old Trafford faithful have not had the smoothest of rides over the last couple of seasons. Manchester United’s results have been topsy-turvy and there has been a lack of harmony inside the team and the dressing room. Top players have come with big promise and gone without fulfilling expectations in the likes of Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez. Paul Pogba seems to be edging closer to an exit too.

At the heart of Manchester United’s plight and despair has been one man. Often wearing sunglasses and holding a phone over his ears that man is the stout football agent Mino Raiola. He is an infamous figure in the world of football. A staunchly loyal and adamant character who demands hefty fees and huge requests. He was the thorn earlier this January to United in their pursuit of Erling Haaland and has been the man purportedly pestering Paul Pogba to leave too.

Now Raiola has latched onto yet another Manchester United star in Jesse Lingard via 90min.com. And with Mino Raiola’s track record with the Red Devils that could only be a bad sign for the club and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Jesse Lingard might not be the most popular figure at Old Trafford. His antics on social media have often driven the United faithful nuts whilst his performances in 2019 have been below par. Yet he is still a key member of the squad who has performed well for Manchester United in previous seasons. Lingard came through the youth ranks at United and he understands the ethos of the club. He is one of the longest serving United players and therefore key to the dressing room’s unity.

Yet with Mino Raiola now behind him, the infamous sport agent could nudge Lingard towards a move away.

Just a day after news of Lingard hiring Raiola has emerged, the United midfielder is already being linked with other clubs.

According to Italian outlet Sport Italia via the Sports Bible, Jesse Lingard has been offered to AC Milan.

United’s midfield is already severely short of players and losing Lingard could be detrimental to the club at this part of the season.
