Manchester United: Solskjaer set to make shocking move for Prem star
By Bence Bocsak
The Manchester United boss is rumoured to be making an approach for a surprising rival player in the January transfer window.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is on an endless mission. The mission of getting Manchester United back to where they belong. It is a quest which will take time, gruelling effort and perpetual toil over and over again. After all Manchester United will be aiming to topple empires the size of Liverpool and Manchester City and that will be one heck of a mission.
It is fair to say not everything has been smooth sailing on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s quest with Manchester United so far. Since the Norwegian has taken over the club just over a year ago not a lot of things have changed.
The difference is minute. But there have been some flickering lights of positivity amidst the greying ambers. Solskjaer for example has done well to bring through youth and academy talent. He has been instrumental in the development of Scott McTominay, Mason Greenwood and Brandon Williams as well as a whole host of other talents.
Youth has always been valued at Old Trafford and it seems slowly but surely Solskjaer is returning the club to what it used to stand for. The performances have been topsy-turvy but there have been some memorable moments especially this season.
Yet it clear the squad is nowhere near where it should be and it is lacking short of quality. Especially in the middle of the park where injuries and key players leaving over the summer has left the Red Devils desperately needing some reinforcements come the January transfer window.
There have been links with several others players, yet a new rumour has emerged alleging that United could be making a shocking swoop for Harry Winks, this is according to the Athletic via TalkSport. This could be a shocking swoop by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer considering Harry Winks plays for one of United’s biggest rivals for the top four in Tottenham.
Harry Winks is an England international who has played in a Champions League final for Tottenham. He is a good ball playing midfielder with endless amounts of energy. But he hasn’t really stood out yet at Spurs.
Whether this could be a good move by United, only time will tell.
What do you think would Harry Winks be a good signing by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer?
