The Manchester United boss has revealed how he plans to use the January transfer window to his advantage and the fans won’t be disappointed.

If you are a football fan chances are the transfer window is either the bane of your existence or one of the most exciting periods in the football calendar. There is no in between. Some fans love the gossip and the speculation others loath it and cannot stand to hear one more word about potential signings. Whether you are a lover or a hater, Manchester United are bound to be in the midst of all the merry go round this January.

With Paul Pogba heavily linked with a move away and Real Madrid expected to be creeping up on United like a ravaging predator about to devour its prey, the club’s resolve will be tested. Who will prevail, only time will tell.

Nemanja Matic has also been linked with a move away and the Serbian could be shown the door as well as Angel Gomes who Barcelona are interested in bringing to sunny Spain.

But it isn’t just out goings that the Old Trafford faithful will be greeted with. The anticipation will be built up for arrivals too.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s squad is evidently depleted at the moment. The team is not firing on all cylinders and there has never been a graver necessity for new signings than the present moment.

The club are suffering from an injury crisis and they lack quality and depth. For a club of United’s huge stature it is essential they return to the pinnacle of European football this year. The club cannot miss out on a Champions League place once again, yet the opportunity is slipping further and further away from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s grasp.

It is why the United faithful will be happy to hear that the injection to heal United’s wounds may come in January.

According to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer via the Daily Mail, Manchester United will be chasing ‘one or two’ signings in the winter window.

United fans can only hope the boss was speaking the truth and United will manage to acquire their targets, otherwise a place in the Champions League next year will be unlikely.
