Manchester United to land wonderkid over Premier League giants

It seems Manchester United could be landing a major coup in the January transfer window by landing a wonderkid coveted by a host of Premier League clubs.

Old Trafford is a shrine. A glittering marvel on the outskirts of Manchester. It towers above the city and it stands tall and proud. Kids with gleaming eyes dream of stepping on the turf and wearing the colours of red, white and black. It is a dream not many teenagers will fulfil, but those who have are remembered for eternity. From the likes of Ronaldo, Beckham, Giggs and Scholes, the list of names who have made their debuts at Manchester United is endless.

Old Trafford is the place to grow. It is a place where stars are made and where legends are born. This is the ethos of Manchester United and it is what the club’s current boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is trying to instil.

For years, the club has seen managers who were reluctant to place their faith in youth. Managers who turned a blind eye to potential and obvious talent. Those managers failed. They did not understand the ethos of the club. They could not form a bond wit the Old Trafford faithful.

Solskjaer on the contrary meanwhile has begun a swift mission to rebuild the squad. Much like Sir Alex Ferguson had done in the past all the way back in the 90s, the core of that rebuilding process for Solskjaer has been the implementation of young players.

From Mason Greenwood to Dan James, Scott McTominay and Brandon Williams the list goes on and on.

And it seems the Manchester United boss could be adding yet another young talent to his squad in January. According to Sky Sports News Manchester United are ‘considering a bid’ for Reading’s Danny Loader.

The 19 year old star was a member of England’s U17 World Cup winning squad and has been making some good progress at Reading since then.

However the Red Devils will be met with fierce competition for his services with Sky reporting that ‘several Premier League clubs’ are also interested.

Nonetheless with Solskjaer’s evident investment in youth and the club’s strong ethos towards giving young players a chance to shine, Danny Loader will surely opt for Old Trafford.
