Manchester United could sign sensational former Liverpool star

Manchester United and Ole Gunnar Solskjear could be targeting a sensational swoop for a former Liverpool star man to bring to Old Trafford.
Donning the Manchester United shirt when you have already donned the shirt of Liverpool is an unspoken but forbidden rule in football that goes vice versa. Committing the treacherous act will bring you unbridled hatred from the team you once represented and instant unbridled legendary status at the team you signed for.
In history not many have broken the unspoken vow but those who have carved their name into history. Most recently it was the former Liverpool legend Michael Owen who came to Old Trafford after being made available on a free transfer by Newcastle United.
The move elicited instant hatred towards Michael Owen by Liverpool fans whilst the United fans welcomed the former Liverpool to great adulation. Owen ultimately proved to be a useful substitute and scored some memorable goals during his time at United.
In today’s climate in which Liverpool seem to dominate everything and United linger in obscurity, perhaps more than ever there is a huge necessity for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side to get one over their rivals.
It seems Manchester United already have the perfect formula identified on how they plan to get on Liverpool’s nerves.
According to Mundo Deportivo Barcelona plan to finance their signing of Neymar by selling Philippe Coutinho and if Mundo Deportivo are to be believed, among the teams vying for Philippe Coutinho’s services is Manchester United.
A move for Coutinho who departed Liverpool almost two years ago for Barcelona earning himself infamy in the process would make sense for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. Not simply because it would be a bitter pill to swallow for Liverpool fans to see their hero in a Manchester United shirt, but also because the Red Devils have been desperate for an injection of creativity to their midfield.
Solskjaer’s side have struggled to break down rigid defences this season and lacked a creative spark.
Philippe Coutinho who is already proven in the Premier League and who has been on good form whilst on loan at Bayern Munich could be the perfect solution to United’s attacking problems. He has the creative flair and the uncanny ability to carve through defences which makes him an ideal addition.
What do you think would Philippe Coutinho be a good signing for Manchester United?
