Manchester United: Huge boost as £80m target’s transfer price is halved
By Bence Bocsak
Manchester United have been given a major boost as one of their primary targets for the January window has had his price halved.
Manchester United have tried for years and years to claw their way back. To fight the team back into the reckoning and to once again be the cream of the crop as they were under the club’s legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson. Yet despite the Red Devils’ desperate attempts, so far none have been to any avail. Managers have come and gone with little to no success. The club are still yearning for their return and rise from the ashes.
Yet it is hoped Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could finally be the man to lead the charge in the club’s long awaited quest. After all having played for the club for almost a decade Ole Gunnar Solskjaer enjoyed a tremendous amount of success at Old Trafford as a player. He witnessed first hand how that success was orchestrated which means he could be the best candidate to try to emulate it.
Solskjaer understands the club. He knows what the United fans want and he has that special connection with them having already been endeared as a player.
One thing Solskjaer will know more than anything is the fact that his success will be non-existent if he does not bring the right signings to Old Trafford.
It is why he is targeting many players in his endeavour to bolster his squad and ensure Manchester United have a team worthy of competing with the best.
Christian Eriksen is among the names Ole Gunnar Solskjaer sees as an ideal addition to his Manchester United squad. The Danish international has the creative flair and the goalscoring prowess which Manchester United have often lacked in midfield this season. With Tottenham reportedly willing to part ways with Christian Eriksen who is valued at around £80m he could be a great addition at Old Trafford.
And now according to the Evening Standard via the Daily Mirror Tottenham are willing ‘to accept offers of less than £40m in the upcoming window’ for their star player which would make signing Christian Eriksen a no brainer for United.
Christian Eriksen has been one of the Premier League’s best midfielders over the last few years a and for such a small price he could be huge bargain.
What do you think should Manchester United sign Christian Eriksen?
