Manchester United: Solskjaer to move for Real Madrid target
By Bence Bocsak
The Manchester United boss could be busy in January and it looks like he is trying to lure Real Madrid’s target to Old Trafford.
Manchester United are in a dire state at the moment. The club have really lacked direction in recent years and are struggling to find a steady set of rhythm since the departure of Sir Alex Ferguson. The Red Devils’ squad is far from being in the best shape right now and the club clearly need a lot of reshaping in order to get the team back to being their best.
Right now Manchester United are full of misfits and players who are clearly too old or not good enough for the club just yet. This needs to be fixed and changed quickly in order to help the team get back to where they belong.
If United and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer do not act quickly Liverpool and Manchester City are already rapidly overtaking them and they will be forced to watch their arch rivals conquer above them for year and years to come.
It seems however Solskjaer has a plan to fix things at Old Trafford and that plan involves an ambitious spending spree and a huge influx of players in order to rejuvenate the mediocre Manchester United squad.
The first signing to fulfil that plan could be the long term Real Madrid target Donny Van de Beek of Ajax Amsterdam. According to the Daily Express via The Week Manchester United are ‘keen’ in bringing Donny Van de Beek to Old Trafford and are willing to ‘battle’ for the Dutchman with Real Madrid.
Donny Van de Beek has been one of the best players at Ajax Amsterdam over the last couple seasons and he is a hugely exciting prospect. Still just 22 years of age Van de Beek is both a huge asset going forward and defensively. The Dutch international has a great first touch, the ability to pop up in the box at the right times and to conjure up chances for his team mates out of nowhere.
It is clear the Dutch international will go very far in the game and with Manchester United evidently keen on the player it would be a huge signing for the club.
What do you think would Donny Van de Beek be a good signing for Manchester United?
