4. Wilfried Zaha to return to Manchester United?

The Ivorian winger signed for Manchester United in January almost eight years ago now. He was the last signing of Sir Alex Ferguson and Zaha had a lot of hype around him. He was hugely impressive in the Championship for his boyhood club Crystal Palace and many tipped him to become the next Cristiano Ronaldo at Manchester United.

That was a lot of pressure on a player who was only just 19 years of age at the time and still far from the finished article.

Of course inevitably the move never fulfilled the hype. For no fault of his own the move to Manchester United was just too much and too early for Wilfried Zaha.

After a couple of loan stints including one at Cardiff where Zaha briefly worked under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer himself, the Ivorian winger returned to where it all begun at Crystal Palace in 2015 and Zaha hasn’t looked back since.

Slowly and quickly Zaha has developed a reputation as one of the most talented players not playing in the Premier League’s top six sides. He is without a shadow of a doubt Crystal Palace’s best player and he often single handedly helps them to win games. Zaha is probably one of the primary reasons why Palace are yet to be relegated from the Premier League.

Recently Zaha was linked with a return to Old Trafford and with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s options still thin on the wing Zaha could be the perfect option in January to help the Norwegian bolster his options in that area.

Who knows Zaha might even fulfil the promise he showed before he signed for Manchester United the first time. One thing for sure the Ivorian still has unfinished business at Old Trafford and what better way to resolve that then by reuniting with one of his former coaches and proving the red devils faithful wrong.
