The January transfer window could be a busy one for Manchester United with Solskjaer tipped to make additions into his squad.

Manchester United have had some hectic January transfer windows in the past. But the winter transfer period has often brought a mixed set of results. For every Nemanja Vidic and Patrice Evra there was also a Juan Mata and an Alexis Sanchez.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is yet to make his debut in the January transfer market but the red devil’s boss has been tipped to bolster his squad and with rumours and speculation rife about possible deals a busy January is certainly on the cards for Manchester United.

Here are five deals Solskjaer could make in the January transfer window.

1. Paul Pogba leaving

The first possible deal is not an arrival at Old Trafford but a departure. The French World Cup winner has been on the periphery of the squad with numerous purported injuries this season and he is clearly unsettled at Manchester United.

Pogba’s form has dwindled on the pitch too and he has been far from his best. He looks a shadow of himself in a Manchester United shirt when compared to the way he plays for France and has done in the past for the black and white of Juventus.

That form and lack of passion will be a huge concern for Manchester United and with Pogba having not done enough to justify the hype which received his return to Old Trafford for then a club record fee it might be time for Solskjaer to cut the club’s losses and move on.

There is plenty of interest in Pogba too. His fellow countryman Zinedine Zidane is set to be hugely keen on bringing the French midfielder to Real Madrid and with Madrid willing to offer a very lucrative deal perhaps Paul Pogba’s departure would be the best solution for both parties.
