Diogo Dalot at left-back?

Left-back has been a problematic position for United over the years, and we thought the return of Luke Shaw would bring about the end of that problem

However, Luke has been lazy in getting forward and very slow in performing his defensive duties, maybe due to a lack of competition.

Cue Diogo Dalot. The Portuguese full-back has been injured since the beginning of the season and has now returned to training.

Blessed with ample pace and the ability to use both feet, he can play at either right or left-back, and considering Luke Shaw’s clear flaws, might just be the left-back United have been looking for since Patrice Evra left.
