Actually starting the kids

This summer, Solskjaer went on a lot about clearing out the squad and making a team that would play to his taste and so far, he has delivered.

He cleared out most of the deadwood in the squad and has so far shown signs of the type of football he wants United to play. Now, he needs to come good on the last thing he said: playing the kids.

Now that United are suffering injuries and lacking creativity, why hasn’t he started Angel Gomes who can play in midfield and on the wing? Why hasn’t he started Mason Greenwood or Tahith Chong?

Solskjaer needs to look to the successes of Ansu Fati and the youth trusted by Chelsea and draw the courage to back his words up with actions. “If he’s good enough, he’s old enough”, as the saying goes.
