Manchester United take on Burnley this evening hoping to make it nine wins on the bounce. The players will be in a buoyant mood after defeat Arsenal 3-1 on Friday night, but how many of them who shone at the Emirates will feature tonight?

A win could lift United into the top four, level on points with Chelsea. However, due to the Blues superior goal difference, leapfrogging Arsenal into fifth looks the most realistic option.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer can become the first manager in Premier League history to win their first seven games in charge tonight if his Red Devils can defeat The Clarets at Old Trafford. A win would see the Norwegian beat the current record of six wins held by former Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti and Manchester City’s Pep Guardiola.

So which men will he pick to help him break the record and continue their winning run of form?

Ashley Young has played a lot of football recently and a home match against Burnley gives young Diogo Dalot with a chance to venture forward and show off his capabilities. Eric Bailly keeps his place after a solid display versus The Gunners. Solskjaer did mention that Chris Smalling could be in line for a return, however, it would be harsh to drop one of the two centre-halves.

Ander Herrera, Nemanja Matic and Paul Pogba continue to impress as a midfield three for Manchester United. Despite Ole Gunnar Solskjaer promising Brazilian Fred opportunities in the coming weeks, United have a chance of making the top four, so should not be experimenting with their side too much.

Burnley sit 16th in the Premier League table but should not be taken lightly. Manchester United’s squad depth is now coming to the fore but a return to their formidable front three of Jesse Lingard, Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford should be enough to extinguish any hopes of a shock victory for Sean Dyche’s men.

Since this is a home game against a lesser side, I’d put Dalot at right back instead of Young to give him some valuable game time. Bailly was decent against Arsenal and will only get better the more he plays.

Matic deserves a rest so Herrera should be shifted to defensive midfield with Fred coming in so that he can get some game time also.

Lukaku was phenomenal on the right wing against the Gunners so he should keep his place. Although Lingard scored as well, Sanchez deserves to finally get a run of games under Solskjaer, so he should start at left wing.
