Manchester United have won seven straight games since the baby-faced assassin, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, arrived in the dugout at Old Trafford and replaced the three-time Premier League winner Jose Mourinho. But other than an increase in the number of W’s visible in the league table, what have been the major differences between the two managers?

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer seems to be loving his time at Manchester United as interim manager and quite frankly, so does everyone else. It feels an awfully long time ago since the club relieved manager Jose Mourinho of his seemingly excruciating duties on the 18th of December.

The club currently has a feeling of positivity about it, or even, a familiar smell that reminds you of so many fond memories of the past.

Solskjaer’s new relationship with United does feel a lot like a fling. Something which in the modern era of football shouldn’t really work but, at the moment, it is and with such passion and happiness too. How long will it last, who knows. But just because the Norwegian appears to have resurrected the previously dower situation the club was in, I find it frustrating that so many people are trying to diminish his achievements.

Ed Woodward won’t be appointing a permanent successor to Jose Mourinho until the end of the season. So from now until then, fans should really just be riding the crest of a very enjoyable wave.
