4th: Jesse Lingard

Jesse Lingard gets in ahead of Marcus Rashford purely based on his performance at tis years World Cup. Since the tournament in Russia, Lingard has featured very little for Gareth Southgate’s men due to injury.

However, he may have given Southgate something to think about after netting a stunning opening goal in the 3-0 victory over the USA a couple of weeks ago.

But during the summer, Lingard was an integral part of the team. Starting every game bar the two dead rubbers against Belgium. The highlight being his stunning strike against Panama in the second group match, curling it into the top right corner in the Nizhny Novgorod sun.
