The biggest names at Manchester United have said goodbye to their national teammates and are on their way back to England. And as attention turns firmly to trip to Chelsea on Saturday, we’re rounding up what has been a successful international break from a Red Devils perspective. Starting with Marcus Rashford.
England defeated Spain 3-2 on Monday evening at the home of Real Betis in Seville. Marcus Rashford and co tore their opponents apart.
The United youngster got on the scoresheet himself to put England 2-0 up after assisting Raheem Sterling for the first. Both finishes that keeper David De Gea could do nothing about. Nor could he the third as the Three Lions raced into a 3-0 lead before the half-time interval.

However, it was not to be and despite Paco Alcacer netting just before the hour mark, Sergio Ramos’ goal in the seventh minute of stoppage time was too little, too late.
Bailly grabs clean sheet edging Ivory Coast towards qualification
Eric Bailly was one of only three Manchester United players who played a full 90 minutes on Tuesday, out of the seven Red Devils potentially on show.
After netting his first goal for his country last Friday in a 4-0 win over the Central African Republic, Bailly managed to hold the same opponents to a 0-0 draw away from home this time around.
The point moves Ivory Coast onto seven points in total with two games still to play sitting clear in second place by three points.
Sergio Romero of Argentina and Paul Pogba of France were the other two Manchester United players to last a full match on Tuesday night.
Romero was minutes away from keeping back to back clean sheets too if it wasn’t for a Brazilian stoppage-time winner. Inter Milan defender Miranda headed home in the 93rd minute from a corner to deal the Argentines a sickening blow.
Pogba played his part too in France’s 2-1 UEFA Nations League win over Germany in Paris. France are still top of Group A1 by four points to nearest challengers the Netherlands. The win is also Les Bleus 14th game on the bounce without losing.

And finally, Alexis Sanchez returned to the Chile side on Wednesday morning (BST), after missing the 3-0 defeat to Peru due to issues with a visa. Sanchez started the match up front and played the full 90 in a 1-0 win.
