Cameron Borthwick-Jackson
Date of birth: 02/02/1997 (age 21)
National team: England U20
Loan club: Scunthorpe United
Position: Left-back
Things have gone from bad to worse for Borthwick-Jackson.
Promoted to the first team by Louis van Gaal during an injury crisis in the 2015-16 season, the England youth international went on to play 10 games for United that season. Since then, he has been nowhere near the first team and has been loaned three times.
Each loan spell has been worse than the previous one. Borthwick-Jackson played a meagre six Championship games for Wolverhampton Wanderers in the 2016-17 season, and then only one league game for Leeds United in the following Championship season.
Now, the left-back has been loaned out to League One side Scunthorpe United, but has yet to make a single appearance for the club. With Luke Shaw and Ashley Young as first and second choice left-backs, it’s safe to say that Cameron should start looking for a permanent move away from Old Trafford…
