As the World Cup group stage finishes up, Manchester United players advance into the next round of the tournament.

Furthermore, almost all Manchester United players are through to the next round of the tournament. Additionally, Nemanja Matic and Serbia stand as the only team with a United player not through to the next round. The international Reds are turning up the intensity as the tournament goes on. What Manchester United players are through to the next round?

First and foremost, David de Gea and Spain already booked their ticket into the next round. In Spain’s first game with Portugal, David de Gea looked shaky in net, and he received fair criticism for his mistake that helped Ronaldo to a hat trick. In Spain’s next game, they face off against the hosts, Russia, as they look to ease their way past one of the worst teams in the tournament.

Also, Paul Pogba and France have a spot in the next round. The French team looked shaky throughout the group stage, as they barely got the best of Australia and Peru. However, they could not find the net against Denmark, as they tied 0-0.

Sweden is the most recent team to gain access into the round of sixteen. Moreover, Sweden are fresh off of a 3-0 win over Mexico. Victor Lindelof played a significant role in Sweden’s group stage quests, and it paid off as they are into the next round.

Argentina were in great danger of not advancing into the next round, but Marcos Rojo scored a late winner against Nigeria. Rojo became an unlikely hero for Argentina, and they play France in the next round of the tournament.

Romelu Lukaku and Belgium succeeded in the group stage by a significant amount, and they have a real shot at winning the whole tournament.

Furthermore, Belgium may have one of the best rosters in the tournament. In addition, Manchester United’s Lukaku has proven himself on the international stage, as he is among the top goal scorers in the tournament. The only player to score more than him is Ronaldo.

Belgium has a tough game ahead, though, as they take on England in the round of sixteen. Can Lukaku continue to be superb for Belgium?

England also have a great chance to make a deep run in the tournament

Jesse Lingard, Marcus Rashford, and Ashley Young all made it through to the round of sixteen. Even though they have a strong roster, they must play against Belgium. Their efforts in the group stage saw them through, but now, they must prepare for their toughest game yet, as Belgium is one of the best in Europe.
