Manchester United’s finest are battling it out on the global stage at this year’s World Cup. But after the first round of fixtures, who is on fire and who can’t take the heat?

Eleven Manchester United players have jetted off to Russia for this year’s World Cup. That is excluding the recent signing of Brazilian Fred as the deal is yet to be finalised.

Many of the players will be coming up against each other in recent weeks when friends suddenly become foes. And with the first round of fixtures complete, we’ve seen a mixed bag of performances from the boys in red.

David De Gea came under the spotlight after his error against Portugal for Spain. Contrastingly, there are cries for Academy-graduate Marcus Rashford to be given the nod ahead of Raheem Sterling in an England shirt. But where do they all rank in the player rankings?

N/A: Marouane Fellaini, Victor Lindelof, Phil Jones
