Gareth Bale interested in Manchester United switch
By Wyatt Miner
Manchester United are seeking talent for the right wing. Furthermore, Gareth Bale wants a transfer away from Real Madrid, and United is a potential landing spot.
The Welsh winger scored twice in the Champions League final for Real Madrid. Coming on as a substitute, Bale netted the game winner with an overhead kick. Rumors surfaced multiple times this season saying that Bale is going to Manchester United. Moreover, an in-form Bale would prove advantageous for United.
Since Bale played in the Premier League before, pundits know that he can match the level of intensity. Normally, when a player transfers leagues, there are doubts that they cannot perform well. However, the Welsh talent has experience in two leagues, which is great for the 28 year old’s career.
According to the United Kingdom’s Independent, Zinedine Zidane says that Bale has a complex situation with Real Madrid. The Manchester United and Bale transfer saga dates back to 2012. In the latest rumors out of Old Trafford, the winger would earn a massive salary. Unfortunately, there is only so much room on payroll, so it is possible that there is not enough room for another world class player.
Additionally, Bale’s future could connect to Cristiano Ronaldo’s future. It all depends on whether or not Ronaldo secures a move away from the Spanish giants. Bale wants a starting role at Real Madrid, but it is certain that he would start at Manchester United. There is doubt cast over the winger, though, as he is injured frequently.

In the end, Manchester United have to make the first move for the Welsh winger because he is a talented player. While Real may see Bale as second to Ronaldo, he will have plenty of room to grow as a player at Manchester United. It will take a change in mentality from United, though. They are looking to bolster their roster, but the attacking department is almost full. Will United fight to make Bale their first summer signing?
