4. Manchester United must lock down Kevin de Bruyne.

Kevin de Bruyne may be Manchester City’s best player, simply for his playmaking abilities. In addition, when paired with Sergio Aguero, City’s attack could prove to be volatile.

Mourinho must play McTominay or Herrera similarly to how he played them against Chelsea. For example, Mourinho singled out Eden Hazard, Chelsea’s playmaker, and they could not prevail over United.

If Mourinho locks down de Bruyne, it will be difficult for Manchester City to get chances on goal. Once de Bruyne is locked down, United can focus their energy on possession.
