Spain

David de Gea made an appearance for his country in both of their matches with Germany and Argentina. In both matches, de Gea only conceded one goal. Additionally, de Gea played a crucial role in their tie with Germany. However, Juan Mata and Ander Herrera did not make the roster for either game.

Sweden

Sweden lost both of their games over the international break. In Sweden’s first game, they lost to Chile 2-1, and Lindelof made an appearance for his country. Lindelof and company could not hold off Sanchez and the rest of Chile. However, in Sweden’s loss to Romania, Lindelof did not make an appearance.

A large portion of Manchester United’s roster made the cut for international play. For Manchester United, this is a good indicator that the club possesses top tier players. While not all of Manchester United’s players received a starting role, the amount of players called up for duty is still significant.
