Matic wonder strike seals comeback win for Manchester United against Palace

Looking ahead to next weeks fixture against arch-rivals Liverpool
I hate this fixture. It gets me more nervous than any other. The hatred inside of me boils over when we play the Reds in Merseyside. Their arrogance to think they will win the Premier League, FA Cup, Champions League every year riles me. But I have to put my professional head on to preview the match.
Liverpool need a win more than we do. A point for Manchester United would see them remain two points clear of their rivals. However, I feel the need for a win is more potent to Jose Mourinho than to the club.
Mourinho has struggled against the other top five sides since he’s arrived at Old Trafford. His win percentage in league competitions against them is 29%. And in only two of the five wins Jose has been able to muster against those sides, have United come out on the front foot.
The standout performance of last seasons campaign. Beating Chelsea 2-0 at Old Trafford had the perfect blend of attack and caution. Herrera pocketed Hazard, Lingard and Rashford terrorised the Chelsea back three.
The other of those two was the 3-1 win over Arsenal this season. Where despite looking so dangerous and powerful on the counter, if David De Gea had not played, we wouldn’t of come away from the Emirates victorious.
Manchester United drew 0-0 with Liverpool back in October. The frustrations for United fans were that we didn’t test a very very shaky Liverpool back line in order to remain defiant in defence.
I would be happy with a point come twenty past two on Saturday, but I think it’s important for Jose Mourinho more so to display some attacking intent against Liverpool for his Manchester United status.
