What Mourinho said after the match?

Jose Mourinho made it clear in his press conference how he wanted to congratulate Roy Hodgson for a “strong” Crystal Palace performance. Suggesting he had been on the losing side before and not received the praise he thought he deserved.

Mourinho also described the win as “remarkable” and “fantastic” but was eagerly disappointed with the goals conceded. And as did I, he highlighted the performance of local lads, Marcus Rashford and Jesse Lingard in a “crazy right-back” position.

Despite the bemoans of Mourinho parking the bus in recent weeks or at least not getting on the front foot, he claimed in his press conference that he was frustrated with the lack of pressing on the ball and of the opponent.
