What’s the Answer?

The obvious answer would be to bring back the 4-3-3 formation with Ander Herrera coming in for Jesse Lingard. By playing a central midfielder, that allows both Matic and Pogba to operate freely in their preferred areas in front of defense and behind the attack.

Positioning aside, Herrera’s drive has been sorely missed in recent weeks. The diminutive Spaniard’s tireless energy and enthusiasm is a great asset to have in the centre of the park because of his ability to chase down runners and win second balls. He is equally adapt at supporting Matic in the defensive duties as well as always presenting an option going forward.
