Jesse Lingard is in the form of his life. He has become so crucial to this Manchester United side, a fringe player now undroppable.

No one saw it coming. But I, like many others, saw his potential. In this article, I will be explaining how Jesse Lingard has risen to the top so quickly and why he has become Jose Mourinho’s perfect number 10.

Manchester United were in a poor patch of form. Only 3 wins in 6 games, averaging just over a goal a game and most worrying slipping 8 points behind leaders City. Upsteps Jesse Lingard.

United travelled to high-flying Watford on a cool Tuesday night, an upset on the cards, injuries had mounted up. But one man was determined to steal the headlines. At first, we all thought it would Ashley Young on the back pages, with two stellar goals. However a Messi-esque 50 yard run, jinking left then right before calmly passing past Gomes, it was Lingard’s night.
