Paul Pogba may be missing this weekend’s Manchester Derby, however, the Manchester United midfielder is still helping his teammates prepare for the match.

Speaking ahead of the massive fixture, Pogba said that clinical finishing is key:

"“Kill the game when you have one chance because they are City and they have quality as well in front and they can kill the game at any time.”"

Pogba is emphasizing on United being clinical. Manchester City have yet to lose this season. However, if United want to make a push for the title, they’ll need to change that on Sunday.

"“They are first for good reason because they have been doing great at the start of the season,” he added. “They keep winning and they didn’t lose one game and obviously mentally they are very strong.”"

Being clinical is theme that United have seemingly forgot over recent weeks. Our forwards have squandered multiple chances, and if that trend continues on Sunday, they could be in for a long day.

This Manchester Derby is looking to be the biggest match in recent years between the two clubs as both vie for the Premier League title this season. Manchester City is in first with a record 43 points from its first 15 matches. United sit in second with 35 points. City are the favorites, but Sunday could be a turning point for United.

Taking three points against City was already a tough task, but without Pogba, it will be that much harder. With the 24-year old in the middle, the Red Devils are a completely different team.

More from Red Devil Armada

The Frenchman has come into his own this season, showcasing his world-class abilities every game he’s featured in. But without his great supply, the United attack may find their opportunities limited Sunday.

The Reds will have to be clinical against the ‘Noisy Neighbors’ on Sunday. Pogba knows this, and his comments show how the team is preparing.

Romelu Lukaku has to be clinical in front of goal. He cannot waste anymore chances, and this match will be the perfect chance for him to silence the haters.

Pogba’s absence will be huge, however. He makes everyone better — especially Lukaku. Mourinho will probably pull out all of the stops to try to slow down Pep’s high-flying side.

However, if the team can heed Pogba’s advice, they have a chance to win. And this game is a must win for sure.
