Arsenal legend Robert Pires knows a thing or two about winning the Premier League.

And the Frenchman  believes that the title race is down to two clubs: Manchester United and Manchester City.

Pires, was a member of the 2003-04 Arsenal side dubbed ‘The Invicibles’ after they went unbeaten en route to winning the Premier League — the only team to ever do so.

But when interviewed by our own Sohail Shamsudeen, Pires answered that the race was down to the two Manchester sides, but one team has a slight advantage.

“For me, (Manchester City) are the favorites to win the Premier League. Man. City are the best team in the Premier League — the best team in Europe.”

Manchester City have played out of their minds lately. They have caught up and surpassed United, who have struggled since Paul Pogba’s injury.

Both Manchester clubs looked like they could run away with the league, as Pep Guardiola and Jose Mourinho had their teams firing on all cylinders to start the season. But Pep has pulled his club away from the Red Devils in recent weeks, and it looks like nothing will stop them this season.

But Robert Pires knows not to count out Manchester United just yet.

“Manchester United have a good opportunity to make some troubles for Manchester City,” Pires stated. “You know the rivalry between Guardiola and Mourinho and the big, big rivalry between United and City. But I think (Mourinho) can beat Manchester City.”

United have two derbies left — two great opportunities to make up points against the Noisy Neighbors. Jose has to right the ship for United to have any hope of making a push for the title that’s eluded the club since 2013.

It won’t be easy by any means, but Pire’s compatriot Paul Pogba will return to the side soon. And if anyone can help Manchester United recapture their form its him. But like Pires said, United have a good chance to cause trouble for City.
