Jose Mourinho: Manchester United manager has ‘no idea’ when Paul Pogba will be back
Jose Mourinho has ‘no idea’ when Manchester United talisman Paul Pogba will be match-ready as his injury recovery drags on towards the two month mark.
Mourinho, speaking to reporters ahead of Manchester United’s Tuesday Champions League clash with Benefica had this to say on the France international:
"“Again, I have no idea, honestly, I have no idea. I’m not in control of his recovery process, he’s not training with me, he’s on individual work and not in my group.”"
United are in the midst of tough run of games, as the Red Devils must prepare for this weekends meeting with Chelsea in the league just days after playing Benefica.
Pogba has missed 10 matches across all competition during his 7 week layoff. And the Manchester Evening News expects that number to increase.

Pogba has certainly been missed — by both Mourinho and the fans. The Portuguese manager has struggled to find anyone to fill the void left in the 24-year old’s absence. United have struggled at times without their record signing in the midfield.
Pogba resumed training with the team last Thursday it appeared as if we would see the dynamic midfielder sooner rather than later.
However, these recent comments from Mourinho have cast a doubt of when Pogba could be back.
“But I would expect Marcos Rojo to be ready to play after the international break,” added Mourinho. “I can predict that because he’s training with me.
“But Paul, I have no idea.”
Pogba took to social media on Saturday to post a picture of his latest hair style, and a seemingly short message to his fans that read, “Still breathing.” Hopefully this is a sign that he’s on the right track.

Manchester United beat Tottenham 1-0 over the weekend. They sit points off of City, and to keep pace Pogba is surely needed.
Before his unfortunate injury against Basel, Pogba was in the form of his life. He looked every bit the £89.3m man that warranted such a transfer figure.
Mourinho has turned to Ander Herrera and Marouane Fellaini to fill in the midfield, but with the later injured and Herrera continuing to struggle, it seems like a band-aid is being used to cover this gaping wound in our midfield.

Manchester United will be out of action for nearly two weeks following this weekends match with Chelsea. That should be ample time for Pogba to reach 100% fitness for the Nov. 18 tie with Newcastle.
