Manchester United: Who is in form for the Red Devils?
By Wyatt Miner
In recent weeks, players have displayed elevated levels of performance. Thus, Manchester United are off to the best start in the season in years.
Jose Mourinho had one goal this summer; sign quality and talented players. By the looks of how the season is going, he has done just that. When United takes the pitch, they look as if they are a more complete team. In fact, it is plausible that Mourinho’s squad is the best squad since the days of Sir Alex Ferguson.
In the Premier League alone, Manchester United have found the net a grand total of 21 times. Additionally, that is not including the surplus of goals scored in the Champions League. Compared to last season, the amount of goals scored is phenomenal.
We are only a few weeks into the season, and the only team that has been able to match our goal production is Manchester City. Manchester United is off to a red hot start.
A great team performance is evidence that players in the squad have found their form
First and foremost, Romelu Lukaku is in incredible form. He is the league’s leading scorer; beating out Tottenham’s Harry Kane. As a matter of fact, Lukaku’s goal scoring pace is much faster than Ibrahimovic; whom many United fans grew to love last season.

If Lukaku continues to play to this level, Manchester United will have no problems in front of goal.
Nemanja Matic is another player that has been playing superb football for the Red Devils. The Serbian is an absolute force in the midfield. His play is physical, smart, and dynamic.
Not only can he defend the midfield, but he has been known to assist the offense as well. Matic is a vital component in United’s starting eleven; especially in the absence of Paul Pogba.
Anthony Martial is playing some of his best football at the moment. Upon his arrival at Old Trafford, expectations were high. Now, those expectations are being met. The young Frenchman has had 3 goals and 2 assists in 6 appearances for the Red Devils.
He has great pace and foot skills that help United tremendously on the wing. Anthony Martial is in the best form of his life, and Mourinho best take advantage of it.
