Teddy Sheringham, like Zlatan, was already a decorated player when he arrived at Old Trafford at the age of 31.

A proven, prolific goalscorer, Sir Alex Ferguson bought him in 1997 to help the Red Devils reach new heights in Europe.

It was in the 1999 Champions League final against Bayern when Sheringham sparked United’s stoppage time comeback victory thanks to his equalizer.

United wouldn’t have won its second ever Champions League title without him, and for that alone he deserves a place on the list.
