Manchester United have had a strong start to their Premier League campaign, but do they have the talent to take home the Premier League title?

After a rather busy summer transfer window, Manchester United have once more added world class talent to their roster, with the likes of Nemanja Matic and Romelu Lukaku. While many fans and critics speculated these transfers, preseason showed them they were wrong. Now that Manchester United have momentum after one of their strongest starts to a season ever, do they have what it takes to maintain that momentum all the way?

The most pressing question on everybody’s mind at the start of the season is who will take home the crown. Over the years we have seen some surprises, like Leicester city in 2015-2016, but it is normally between the “big six”. Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea, Tottenham, Liverpool, and Arsenal all fall into that group. However, it has been 3 seasons since anyone other than Chelsea have won the title from that group. That could all change this year though.

Manchester United have world class talent on their team, and after back to back 4-0 wins, they certainly are making great use of it. New signing Lukaku already has three goals in two games, and former Chelsea midfielder Matic has put up impressive performances. Of course we have seen this before with Manchester United. Last season they started off strong, much like this year, but injuries came, and United began to drop points.

However, there is something different this year. The team is playing with an unexplainable chemistry. Despite the numerous amount of signings in these past two seasons, everyone seems to be getting on well, which is showing in their performances.

Contender or Pretender?

Manchester United have definitely proved they are worthy to be called “title contenders”. If they continue to perform at their current level, the Premier League title will be in sight. It wont be easy though, as other strong contenders are in them mix, and Manchester United haven’t played very strong opponents. The season has only just started however, and fans will just have to wait and see what happens next.
