Manchester United were on pace for an ugly win. The type of win teams competing for the title have to grind out. However, that was for the first 80 minutes of the match.

Then Romelu Lukaku, Paul Pogba, and substitute Anthony Martial tacked on three goals in three minutes and 41 seconds saw United up 4-0 in the 84th minute as the Red Devils sprinted past Swansea on Saturday at the Liberty Stadium.

Jose Mourinho has the team flying high and the fans are loving it. Eight goals in the first two games and the Red Devils look like the most fearsome team in the Premier League.

Player ratings

GK David de Gea, 7 — Another relatively quite game. Collected the Swansea shots with relative ease.

DF Antonio Valencia, 7 — Did well defensively. Pace and strength allows Valencia to bomb forward and still outmuscle attacking players.

DF Eric Bailly, 8.5 — Bailly scored his first ever goal for the Red Devils. Along with the goal he played a great defensive match making multiple good clearances and interceptions.

DF Phil Jones, 8 — Jones is showing us what a defender he can be when healthy and confident. Another promising performance.

DF Daley Blind, 7 — Got forward well. Stood his ground defensively and didn’t offer the Swans much.

MF Nemanja Matic, 8 — The silent hero. Another performance where he made everything click. Won the ball and looked to get it forward.

MF Paul Pogba, 9 — The match started off and Pogba looked like he might get sent off before the afternoon was over. However, he grew into the match and put forth another dazzling display. Finished with a lovely chip goal and assisted Martial’s.

MF Henrikh Mkhitaryan, 8 — What looked like a quiet afternoon for the Armenian exploded into a great performance in the 80th minute. Mhkitaryan added two more assists from the 80-84′ bringing his season tally to four in just two matches.

FW Juan Mata, 6.5 — Came close to opening the scoring in the first half. Curled in a few dangerous crosses. Substituted for Fellaini later on.

FW Marcus Rashford, 7 — Rashford put forth yet another promising performance just missing out on a goal yet again. Ran at defenders extremely well. Should have scored in the first half, but went for the audacious chip.

FW Romelu Lukaku, 8 — Struggled to make an impact in the first half. His play improved in the second half he was rewarded with a great strike to put United up by two.

Substitutes

MF Marouane Fellaini, NR — Brought on for Mata in the 75th minute to see the match out. Won the ball a few times but didn’t impact the match.

FW Anthony Martial, 7 — Brought on for Rashford in the 75th minute, It took just 5 minutes for Martial to leave his mark on the match. Winning a ball at the top of the box passing to Mhkitaryan who then assisted Lukaku. Martial then added a goal of his own. Mourinho is going to find it hard to justify leaving him on the bench yet again.
