Manchester United: Adnan Januzaj Could Be On His Way to Real Sociedad

According to Sky Sources, Manchester United have received a £9.7 million bid from Real Sociedad. Januzaj could be leaving after a disappointing loan spell with Sunderland.

The Belgian international came to the spotlight on his Premier League debut against Sunderland in the David Moyes era. Januzaj scored two goals on that day, which handed the Red Devils all three points. It was a disappointing season for United, but Januzaj was the shining light.

In Louis Van Gaal’s final season, Januzaj was sent on-loan to Borussia Dortmund but the spell was cut short and he was brought back to Manchester. This season, the winger spent his time at Sunderland and was extremely disappointing.

Januzaj only scored 1 goal this season and in came in the EFL Cup. In the Premier League, the Belgian did not find the scoresheet but notched 3 assists. After that stellar year under Moyes at United, Januzaj’s career has gone downhill. It seems that his time at United may be up and the club  will let him go for a small fee.

The club is willing to let him go and Real Sociedad is likely his next destination. Januzaj may need this fresh start in order to revitalize his career. He has shown that he has the ability to become a great attacking player, but he now has to learn how to use his abilities. United will be disappointed to see the young Belgian go, but in the end, it may be best for Januzaj and United to part ways.
