The Portuguese winger is quickly becoming frustrated in the Spanish capital and rumours have it that Ronaldo’s considering his options with Manchester United touted as one of the clubs fighting for his signature.

Cristiano Ronaldo is upset with Spanish authorities in his accused tax fraud case worth £13m. According to Abola, the Portuguese forward believes he is only getting attention because of his star status. With Ronaldo’s increasing frustration rising in Spain, perhaps a move back home to Manchester United would suit him.

It seems in recent summer transfer windows, return rumors for Ronaldo to head home to United Road grow louder and louder. But for United fans, this might be the best case scenario for them to reunite with the United legend.

During last fall, Ronaldo extended his contract with Los Blancos till 2021 so if United are to bring him home, it will be for a massive price and probably breaking the world record spent on Pogba by United last summer. Only a handful of clubs will be able to handle the possible price of Ronaldo, most likely being Manchester City, PSG and some clubs in China. Those will be United’s main competition in the Ronaldo sweepstakes if a transfer request occurs.

If the likelihood of signing Ronaldo increases, expect the talk of signing Alvaro Morata to cease. Ronaldo is a man who needs no introduction to everything he has already accomplished in English football. Morata on the other hand could perhaps mirror Angel Di Maria’s time at Old Trafford, whom didn’t adjust in England.

Hypothetically speaking, if Cristiano does return, him and Marcus Rashord or Anthony Martial can interchange constantly from LW to the number nine role throughout the match. Ronaldo is beginning to age and slowly losing some of his stellar athleticism but his goal production is still present.

Just look at his performance in the Champions League where he netted 13 times in the competion. Ronaldo’s goal production would continue till he’s 36 with superb service from either Martial or Rashford in a strict number nine role.

Surely the news of a possible return of Cristiano brings smiles to the United faithful’s faces but don’t get your hopes up as this dream reunion is still a long way of becoming possible.
