2. Eric Cantona

It was a toss-up between Cristiano Ronaldo and Cantona as to who would be best signing ever for United.  But ultimately that fell to Ronaldo, but Cantona is one-of-the-best signings ever to put on a Manchester United jersey.  The funniest thing about it all is Cantona was had for 1.2 million, and he went on to start an amazing career.  So from 1992-1997 Cantona carved out his career scoring 64 times in a 143 appearances for the Red Devils.  But more importantly are the four Premier League titles and two F.A. Cups he won during his time.  He was a legend on the field and kids will be told about him for generations.
