Manchester United Players on England Duty
Five Manchester United players have been given the opportunity to play in the upcoming World Cup qualifiers. Gareth Southgate’s men will play in a friendly against Germany and a World Cup qualifier against Lithuania.
Chris Smalling, Phil Jones, and Luke Shaw have all been put into the national team squad. They will be available for selection for Gareth Southgate’s defense. Smalling and Jones have seen lots of first-team action at Manchester United and may get an opportunity in these games. Luke Shaw has not had as many minutes under his belt but will look at this as an opportunity to impress United’s boss, Jose Mourinho.

Jesse Lingard and Marcus Rashford have also been included in the squad. The youngsters will look to be in the Three Lions’ attack. Both have recently emerged to the national team scene and will look to impress Southgate.
The five players will return back to Manchester United training on the 27th of March in order to prepare for their match on the 1st of April against West Bromwich Albion.
