Tom Heaton (Burnley)

Manchester United took 38 shots in the scoreless draw against Burnley, including 2 shots off the woodwork. Heaton produced 11 saves in this match and left United wondering how they made it 90 minutes without scoring. Heaton, a former Manchester United academy player, almost single-handedly gained Burnley a point.

Burnley was under siege the entire match and did not seem to have an answer to the attacking threat of Manchester United. After keeping Jesse Lingard out several times, Heaton made a spectacular save from an Ibrahimovic volley. The keeper seemed to have the goal locked up for the day in the goalless draw.

Even after United went down to 10 men when Ander Herrera received his second yellow, Sean Dyche’s side couldn’t seem to keep a hold of the ball. Heaton continued his fine work and left Old Trafford with a clean sheet. United fans left that day astonished by the fact that the ball did not go in the back of the net at least once.
