Sunderland are finally seeing themselves get some positive results and hopefully pull them out of the relegation zone. With two wins in their past five, Sunderland are slowly starting to put it together. The results against Watford and Leicester shows that the Black Cats might still survive this season. Two of their losses too came against the top-4 teams which they are expected to lose and are looking much better against the lesser teams.

They are slowly turning it around and are becoming a much better team defensively. With only seven goals conceded in the past five games, Sunderland doesn’t look great, but with three of them coming for Swansea in their 3-0 loss, the Black Cats are becoming more consistent defensively. They are however, not a good scoring team. With only three goals in their past five, Sunderland need to up their scoring. A positive from their lack of scoring however is they’ve been able to spread the goals out and score in two different games, which they won both.

The Black Cats do however have a hard three games coming. With Man United in form, Burnley, and Liverpool to play next, Sunderland will be very lucky to take three points from the next three games and might see themselves fall into a slump. If manager David Moyes can keep the games close and hopefully take a win from Burnley, Sunderland will look a lot safer for this year.

12th in the RDA power rankings goes to a team that is also lacking consistency…
